I don't know what "a little slow in starting" actually means, but if it means it is slow in cranking the engine, you may want to check your battery. If you mean that the car takes a long time to crank and start, you've probably got bigger problems. ND4SPDLSC December 7th, 2005, 09:02 PM An Optima Red Top is a great battery upgrade if yours is bad. 00ls-sport December 8th, 2005, 06:19 AM could be a battery issue, but my question was if anyone else has the block heater and waht their satisfaction level was with it. 2001LS8Sport December 8th, 2005, 07:21 AM Being originally from Idaho, I had block heaters in every single car I ever owned. Installed them all myself if it didn't come with one. (be prepared for an antifreeze bath!) They are the single best heater you can use. They not only keep the engine and coolant warm for quick heat in the car, but they also keep the oil warm for easier starts. Best investment you can make on your car for cold climates. DO NOT use dipstick heaters or hose heaters. Hose heaters can make your hoses brittle and dipstick heaters "coke" the oil on the heater. 00ls-sport December 8th, 2005, 07:24 AM thanks. will have the service dept here put it in when it comes in. | ||||
