that's strange. what do you mean you wired into the advance track? Are you talking about the button on the console? here's the wiring diagram from an 03 for that harness. there's no +- to wire to!! If you did the signal line you "may" have fried something else.

He probably tied into 5 (-) and 6 (+).
AdvanceTrac is on unless you turn it off; if it's off, it will display ADVANCETRAC OFF in the Message Center, or it should display and AdvanceTrac Error on startup. If you're not sure, press the STATUS button; it'll check the AdvanceTrac status. If you don't have the Message Center, I don't know how you check.
If you really did tie into the wrong line, it's entirely possible that you fried something; unfortunately, it's more likely to be a solid-state component, rather than the harness or something inexpensive...

5 and 6 are ILLUMINATION power, only active to light up the button I assume (when lights are on) and probably also run off the rheostat or whatever controls dimming functions. Those wires probably wouldn't work and if they did fry something PROBABLY wouldn't be related to the T/C system directly but who knows in this car:)

I was guessing that he tied into those, since they are the only obvious + and - lines. My supposition was that he might've tied into one of the control circuits, which could have spiked one of the semiconductors related to the AdvanceTrac system.

do you have the power port in your center console? that's where I'd go. If you don't have that I'd go behind the radio or directly to the fusebox (making sure you grab the load side of a fuse.

and try pulling you'r battery then reconnecting to see if your t/c settles down.

ok last post for tonight. Pin THREE for positive, and a ground for negative would work great. get a voltmeter and check pin 3 and ground for 12V. If you don't get 12V then you may have blown a fuse somewhere which would explain the button not working.

this switch is fuse 15 in the passenger fuse panel
