which lug nuts for Eagle alloys 168?88mk7 July 31st, 2004, 03:33 AM I grabbed a set off ebay for a kick ass deal, what kinda lug nuts and what size please? Sifrino3 July 31st, 2004, 12:50 PM I got those wheels. I can't remember. I picked up mine when I got my tires put on. All key locked. . . JoshMcMadMac August 1st, 2004, 08:06 AM Any acorn style nut should work. I think stock studs are 1/2-20. I picked up some chrome lugnuts at CarQuest, about $1 each. Sifrino3 August 1st, 2004, 03:16 PM $1 each is cheap. I paid alot for my locking ones. Jzz, it was to much to tell you guys! 88mk7 August 2nd, 2004, 03:22 AM hell i'll have at least one locking one on each wheel JoshMcMadMac August 2nd, 2004, 06:45 AM You can get a set of four locking nuts, one for each wheel, for <$10 at any local parts store. Sifrino3 August 2nd, 2004, 01:51 PM The kind I have is that the socket that I take them off with is the key. Very low profile. . . JoshMcMadMac August 2nd, 2004, 03:56 PM The kind I have is that the socket that I take them off with is the key. Very low profile. . . Yea, that's the type I'm talking about. I had those on the Camaro before the new rims were added. Just be careful not to strip it or mess it up! Sifrino3 August 2nd, 2004, 05:40 PM No kinding, that would be something. . . 88mk7 August 2nd, 2004, 06:12 PM hey sif, do your front tires rub or anything? Sifrino3 August 3rd, 2004, 03:53 AM Nope, for even close. Have it lowered too. No spacers no nothing! Direct bolt up! 88mk7 August 3rd, 2004, 02:19 PM awesome, can't wait to get tires mounted on mine, im goin with Kuhmos all way around 245/45 on front and 275/40 on rear. Sifrino3 August 3rd, 2004, 02:27 PM I would up size the front to a 255. I got good streering now. But I believe with a little more out there it would be perfect. JoshMcMadMac August 3rd, 2004, 02:33 PM awesome, can't wait to get tires mounted on mine, im goin with Kuhmos all way around 245/45 on front and 275/40 on rear. 245/45R17's are smaller than stock diameter. 245/50R17 is almost spot on, so you are better off with those. I picked up BFG's in that size, and they work great. Sifrino3 August 3rd, 2004, 02:36 PM Yes a 45 17 is smaller. But it looks good. That is another reason why I am steping up to 18s! 88mk7 August 3rd, 2004, 07:26 PM I hate to see how much tires will run me... its chilling. BTW, does NTB price match with TireRack? Sifrino3 August 3rd, 2004, 07:27 PM Me too! JoshMcMadMac August 5th, 2004, 08:22 AM I hate to see how much tires will run me... its chilling. BTW, does NTB price match with TireRack? If you think ~$100 a tire is bad, don't ever get anything bigger than 17"! I was happy to get my tires for $90 a piece. | ||||
