Headliner removal

is there any way to remove the headliner without damaging anything, like glues or tacks or something like that. (the whole thing, including the "cardboard" backing)

i want to get to my sunroof to see just whats up with it not working.

To do it properly you need both front seats to be out along with all of the pillar trim, sail panels, sunvisors etc. It's a time consuming job, one I practiced on when I parted out my 96.

There should be a sunroof motor access panel up there, that you can pop and get to the motor. That's how I fixed my problem with the sunrooof.

Its an aftermarket roof, so they didnt decide to put an access pannel in apparently.

I think the biggest trick is probably getting it out of the car once it's down...
