I just paid my car insurance and i think its alittle high. I have the car only insured for me, no other drivers. I am 30 yrs old, i have no tickets against me and have a safe driver license, but i had a car that was totaled about 3-4 yrs ago, so that has raised the premium alittle. I am paying $147 a month !! I have the V6. What are your rates for a policy with only the LS listed ? I think i should be able to get a better deal.

I have three cars, 2001 Lincoln LS, 2001 Nissan Pathfinder LE 3.5 and a 2002 VW Beetle GLS. Our insurance on all vehicles is $776 every six months and it's with Allstate. That's $129.33 a month for all three vehicles with full coverage and the standard deductible.

Holy cats! I haven't paid that much for insurance on one car since...well, I think I might have paid that much when I was 23 and driving a T-Bird SC. Right now, I'm insuring an '04 LS V8, a '99 Explorer Sport, a '90 F150 4x4, and a '78 Triumph Spitfire, all with $500 deductible, and full coverage of the LS and Explorer, and combined they're only ~$120/month from State Farm. I do have the maximum accident-free and multi-car/multi-line discounts, as well as my home-owner's policies with them.

First off you live in Florida... Insurance is outrageous there. I'm 29 with one speeding ticket driving and paying for an 01 LS V6 and the wifes 02 honda accord. I only pay around 575.00 every 6 months through USAA.

Go with AIG Insurance.

I had GEICO for 9 years. Then got quoted by Progressive and they were $100/6 mos cheaper. So I was with Progressive for 1 year. Then I had AIG quote it and it was yet $100/6mos cheaper. I have been with AIG for 1 year now. I pay $565 for an LS/v8 and two other cars each 6 months.

Steer clear of Allstate, Farmers, State Farm, etc. These are all traditional rip off insurance companies where 1/3 of you premium dollar is paid to your AGENT in commission each month! Progressive, AIG and GEICO are all preferred risk, lowest cost insurance products.

Thats amazing. I have the same coverage, same company and its more than double here in Florida. Maybe the high rates here in Florida support my observation of there being sooooooo many a-hole drivers here. Just today a Honda S2000 blew by doing atleast 120. If i have spent another second changing lanes he would have smacked into me. So for all that think i am some old guy with the "get off my lawn" attitude, i'm not. I just drive alot and encounter alot of B.S. here in Orlando and it gets old really really quick.

I have State Farm (for about fifteen yrs.). I'm 36 w/ no tickets, no points, full coverage, $250 deduct. and pay about $800 yr. in Alabama. That's about 66 bucks a month.

Got the usual w/ Uterin(sp)/Kemper and pay like $650 or $700 every six months. I did have an accident not long ago but insurance seemed to not jump much, last payment I paid was like $136. I'm 22 btw. I'd like to get a different insurance company, progressive was actually much more, not even going to look at state farm, farmers, allstate because I've heard "horror" stories about them.

Not sure if it drops but until I turned 21 I was under the parents insurance, they were nice enough on that one lol. I wanted my own and I was told by the parents and the company to just wait because it'd be cheaper so I did. Seems pretty decent I must say, could be better though. I always thought it was wierd to be under the parents because my cars were my cars, I bought them and they payed nothing but it went under their policy anyway.

Get ready to sh1t your pants. I have 3 tickets on my record (2 in the last year), '03 LS sport, $1900 every 6mo. through state farm. $500 ded. in Schaumburg, IL. Needless to say I'm shopping around. Anyone know a good company to go through?

The day I turned 25, my insurance dropped by more than 50% (from over $130/month to about $60 per month for my SHO), but 21 didn't make a significant difference.
