I know that all of you are tired of answering all the questions from us newbies about Gen 1's and the crappy headlights, but please humor me. Unfortunately I am financially challenged and simply dont have the $1000 to pop for the clear, smooth, sweet, brilliant HID conversions for the Gen 1.
What I would like to know is ....... is it possible to just purchase the clear HID lenses and install either halogen or some other standard bulb instead of the HID's and the ballasts? And if so, is it possible to buy the HID lenses cheaper than what I have been seeing the stock Gen 1 lenses going for on E-bay and the likes. ($100 to $275 each)?? Where could a guy go to find a pair of used or new HID lenses that wouldnt cost a gazillion dollars a piece?
