Has anyone modified their stock mass air meter?JC1994 November 16th, 2005, 02:20 PM how do you go about it and is it worth doing? thanks, James... MarkOfDeath November 16th, 2005, 02:23 PM not worth it, just buy an adapter for 40$ and a cone filter and be done with it JC1994 November 16th, 2005, 02:34 PM thanks. I just wanted some opinions. I didn't think it would be worth it. 98LSC32V November 16th, 2005, 03:57 PM This mod is never done on 4.6 DOHC's because you don't gain anything... some LS1 guys have done it with minimal success. Keep it stock... ONEBADMK8 November 16th, 2005, 04:27 PM Just call me for a real mass air kit. Guaranteed performance. If you modify the stock unit you will only get ONE try at getting it right, not worth it. JC1994 November 16th, 2005, 05:34 PM the stock meter is 80mm right? I want to upgrade it and the air box and go with a conical K&N. Geno, how much for all of this? THANKS, JC... lincolnboy November 16th, 2005, 05:55 PM BOUT 300 for it all.. the maf's cost in the $200 range and the filter bout 40 bucks. you could go over to http://www.nloc.net/forum/ for a lightin 80 or 90mm maf for bout 100 bucks...some are using the new (not the 05) gt 80mm mafs. but you will have to use a chip.. | ||||
