My lighter quit working and I was wondering if any of you knew how easy it is to replace it. Yes I have checked the fuse and it is fine. The rear one still works but I need both so I can use my radar detector and my xm radio.

you may need an element or the socket. try another lighter in the socket to see if it will get hot and go from there..

take off the trim around the heater controls and then take 2 bolts out from the shifter trim and it should pop out then investigate why it isnt working, if you run a phone charger in these cars you end up sorting the cig lighter.

In that one i was using a radar detector. The socket is bad because I dont use the element because I dont smoke. How hard is it to take off the trim? Easy like taking a flat head screwdriver and popping it off?

So after that comes off, will the piece where the light is come out also?

Fixed. The socket had come unscrewed from the wire at the bottom Took it apart, tightened it up a and it worked. Thanks yall.
