When i accelerate moderately, shifting between 2 and 3 i believe, it shifts, jumps back and fourth a few times. When i let off the gas it shifts and stays when i apply gas again. this doesnt happen when i accelerate quickly. Any ideas? Is my tranny f'd?

your tranny is slipping, try changing the fluid and filter, if that doesn't work then it probably needs rebuilt.
