Im pondering selling my LS and getting something that gets better gas mileage and that doesnt have soo many problems. Its a 00 LS8 with 61k miles. check my garage for some pics. thanks

Your looking at 10 to 12 K max if it is in great shape and your trading it in and that is pushing it.If you sell it on your own your looking at around 12 - 13k I had gotten 11K with 63000 base V8 but i knew the manager at the dealership.

You've thrown alot of money at that thing to sell it now. But if she's nickel and diming you to death...what else can you do?

Depending on the area you live and interest in them I'd go w/ what everyone else is saying(11-14K). I've been thinking the same thing aswell. I owe abit more on it since I traded for it so I'm just trying to save so I have a big enough down payment for something or pay a nice chunk and put it up for sale. Mine is an '02 v8, loaded and only a touch over 36K miles. I've seen LS' similiar at dealers for about what I owe and some way less. Max I could get on trade-in is only like 16 something(sucks).

yup. pretty close to others. I'm thinking $10k. Trade-in would probably be much lower than you think. I'd guess $8k. But that can fluctuate quite a bit depending on who you are trading it into (domestic or foreign), how desperate they are to sell you something else, time of the month, etc, etc.

I have a 01 LS V8 Sport with 38,000 miles on it and I can't give it away. Ford employee pricing has really hurt the used car market. I started trying to sell the car which is mint, six months ago for $17,500, and presently have $13,000 on the window and still can't sell it. Good luck. I've always said whatever you're trying to sell is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Please don't go to McMahon Lin Merc. They will underscore your ride big time. Try to sell it on KKB or car soup.

P.S. Since your a home boy, there are some mods on your car I'd like to buy for my 00 ls v6. Let's hook somewhere in Creve Coure so I can look over your ride. If you want to sell the mods.

thats ounds good if i go through with it. i dont think i have the balls to sell her. shes been soo much fun, and is almost done with what i want her to have. but all these little problems are killing me. gas isnt the major flaw just all the repairs.

don't give up man thats just part of the battle your going to have the same prob. with another car anyway these things are too sweet to let go I am just glad I got a good one(00 ls v-8) just about to make 90,000 miles and no major prob other than tranney issues but its a machine your gonna have to work on it doesn't heal itself....

Bill, I don't own an LS but don't give up on it repair costs are a fact of life, if you get rid of it, you might regret it!!!!!!!!!

I made the mistake of trading my 98 Contour Sport after I made alot of mods to it. I also traded my 91 Escort. I do regret it now, but I had to get away from the "sticks". But I do love the Lincoln LS, once It's paid off, I'm not buying another car!

i'm keeping her till she stops running, then i'll get a new one.........too bad i can't do the same with the wifey. it would be nice though, trade her in for a limited edition type deal. you know......something not too tempermental...BIGGER TIRES......a nice BODY KIT......something that takes 87 gas instead of 91.......yeah...something like that. yeah....i'm talking about the car, not the wife.
