anyone remove the oil filler neck?

where you pour new oil in.

It looks like your unscrew it - but I've really yanked on it without much luck.

There are two locking tabs on the inside base (bottom) of the neck....

i though the same thing but I didnt have any luck i did not wanna yank on it too hard my luck yanking + unkown part = SNAP=$$$$$costly repair$$$$$$

lol yeah I dont think so... Thanks again I got a qoute on the clock spring about 90-95 I think cant remember but still cheaper...

I'm surprised that's not in the DVD service manual. Maybe one of the fellow LvC members that are Ford Techs can answer that.

If I recall........it just twists off. I had to replace my oil filler tube when I did valve cover gaskets. I would equate it to taking off a top to a prescription drug container.

the intercooler tubes will need to go over that area......
