BAD LT-1

I purchased an 01 LS V8 not to long ago. The car is an absolute dream, I had a 96 328i before and the lincoln handles way better. Enough with that.
Last night my g/f went to drive the car around and it was dark(11pm) and i noticed on the windshield right below the rear view mirror a flashing amber light. You can only notice it on the outside. I put it in drive and it stays on. Does anyone know what the light is????
THANKS!

That would be the automatic wiper sensor. There are two rings on the turn signal stalk that controls the auto wiper on-off. I don't remember off hand what the settings are, but the owners manual will have that info.

First stupid question, both rings are set correctly? I just looked, it's outer ring "int", inner ring "auto". I have found that sometimes the system needs to be kick-started. Once they get going though, they work fine, for me.
