hey guy`s, i was just wondering if any of you have had to replace the driver side power window switch. the dealer quoted me $200 but i`ve seen the part for 68 dollars. i sit as easy as poppin the door panel off and disconnecting the switch connector and pull out the assy and do the reverse to re-install it? thanx in advance. jace

install sounds right to me. should be easy.

The install of the switch is very simpled once you get the door panel off. The switch is held on by tabs that can be released using a flat head screw driver. Below are a few pics showing the switch removal. I took these pics when I took the trim off to cover them with carbon fiber vinyl.

Interesting, I never took the door panel off. The switch just popped off and I changed it without removing the entire door panel.

thanx alot guys, i really appreciate it. I really was kinda shocked when they quoted me 200 dollars when the door panel was gonn abe off anyway becasue i took it in to get the regulator fixed that broke on sat. thanx for the detailed pics ken. saved me some money .. thanx again ...jace

will you "PLEASE" tell me Where you got the window switch for 68 dollars ?? And if they carrie one for a 2001 Cadillac?? I live in Baltimore Md. and I need to replace my window switch, So if ANYONE has or knows where I can get a good price on a "MASTER" ( the one that works everything, from the drivers side ) Power Window Switch, PLEASE let me know asap "THANKS".
