im new to the board. i just bought a 88 mark VII today.
i got the mark from my cousin and her husband for $300.
they said the gas prices and insurance where the reason
they where selling it. they driver side air suspension needs work
they replaced the fuel pump and said it was still having problems.
but after driving it 20-30 miles home i never had a problem till i
made a left turn so im thinking all the gas isgoing away from the pump cause i seen the neddle go from 1/2 tank to E than back 1/4 and when it went to E it acted like it wasnlt geting gas. the body needs some workin areas. but other than that it rund great in fact i hadit doing 80 onthe back roads easy
and its got 107,000

:W to :V with a little work you will have a smokin Mark VII!!!

I had an 85 Mark VII loved it but sold it for the same reason... It uses more gas than the Mark VIII. So I had to down grade to another Mark VIII...

I guess it's a sacrifice I have to live with...:L

they said he got 19-22 mpg usually. it was on e when i got it so i but 10$ in it for the ride home and the neddle stayed on 1/4tank the whole way home evan with me gunninit to she what it had so i was doing 80 at least half the way home.. not bad for a v-8 lol
and yes i already have plans of makin a beast ofit after getin the air suspension fixed or the spring conversion but not sure which i wanna do yet.
