Great article..great thread
And now that it's been up for a full 15 hours, I'd like to use it as an example to disprove the idea that the liberal side of this message board 'jumps the bandwagon' on issues.
Notice...not one liberal person posted a back patting comment...and the conservatives on this board...all too scared of arguments that stand well on their own...haven't posted one negative thing about it.
Liberals aren't the ones around here who jump on bandwagons as Bryan asserts...it's conservatives.
The only time the liberal posters around here all comment on a post is when it is blatantly wrong.

Nah...no finger pointing...just highlighting the false statements.
I didn't call names or single out anyone other than Bryan because he's the one who supports that argument the most.

You make it sound like conservatives are always wrong and liberals are always right. If that's the case, then what does that say about you? This thread is nothing more than trying to pick a fight. If you're fine with that, then all I ask is that you quit complaining when the other side uses the same tactics. Again, I'm tired of hearing all the crying.

I'm sorry...You're right. It's a faulty point that Bryan makes all the time.
I don't mean to say 'the conservatives are wrong all the time'...don't know how you pulled that out of there. I was just saying that when the liberals are accused of being a bunch of bandwagon jumpers and back patters that it is not the case.

Whether I use the tactic of picking fights or not, the other side does, so it's a lose lose situation...
Kbob October 28th, 2005, 01:25 PM I'm sorry...You're right. It's a faulty point that Bryan makes all the time.
And your point about no one posting anything in that one thread does not make your case. That's like saying, "see, I didn't kill everyone, I only killed 3 people, I'm not that bad."
I don't mean to say 'the conservatives are wrong all the time'...don't know how you pulled that out of there. I was just saying that when the liberals are accused of being a bunch of bandwagon jumpers and back patters that it is not the case. I pulled it out because that is what it sounds like. Please don't insult my intelligence. The first line of your first post in this thread could be considered a "back patting" phrase. Big deal.
Kbob October 28th, 2005, 01:29 PM Whether I use the tactic of picking fights or not, the other side does, so it's a lose lose situation...So now you've lost credibility in that area (at least momentarily) when you cry out against those same tactics. Enjoy the pi$$ing contest. Again, :thread:

Just let it stand, was a great article and a good post.

You're using my "Passive agressive stick", I want royalties!
Kbob October 28th, 2005, 02:46 PM You're using my "Passive agressive stick", I want royalties!Wrong, my friend. I've been subtly insulting since the beginning. It's funner that way, and you still keep your friends in the end. I've sent you a bill. :Beer

I didn't comment on the article not because I was scared, but because I found it uninteresting.
