I was thinking of getting another spare tire, and putting skinnies on that and the one i got, and putting them out front when i go to the track...would that not be a wise move?

Question about tires (warning, may be stupid)MrWilson October 25th, 2005, 08:27 PM I was thinking of getting another spare tire, and putting skinnies on that and the one i got, and putting them out front when i go to the track...would that not be a wise move? 94m5 October 25th, 2005, 08:29 PM i'm not so sure a spare tire would hold at that kind of speed. OR do you mean you would buy a set of drag skinnies? If so, I don't now if you can find them to fit the spare rims.... Mike yeah, i was thinking of buyin a set of drag skinnies. i kinda figgure that the spares wont hold up to 90+mph, cuz they say not to go over 45. scott9050 October 25th, 2005, 08:52 PM Some have actually used the space savers in drag purposes, though I would not reccomend it. With the weight we have over the front it would do very little anyway in terms of acceleration unless your power was bumped up significantly. MrWilson October 25th, 2005, 10:04 PM from what i recall, the spare is a whole lot lighter than the rim...so if nothing else, its a bit of a drop in weight. 94m5 October 25th, 2005, 10:08 PM Some have actually used the space savers in drag purposes, though I would not reccomend it.
