They've been on Ford's, Mopars, Nissans, Suzuki's (X-90) etc. GM just was the one that ran them into the ground.

Mustangs...I had a friend with a Mustang w/ t-tops. Funny story, he thought it would be cool to impress these girls in a convertible on the highway by removing the t-tops while doing 65. I got mine off and put inside, and held the wheel while he pulled his loose. The wind caught it and jerked it out of his hands, shattering it into a thousand pieces on the highway. We just looked at each other while the girls zoomed past, laughing at us.

I've been thinking about buying a 3rd 1st gen and chopping the top off. I'd have to keep in in the garage, cause I would'nt be putting a top back on it. :)

i have seen a 1971 ford mustang with t-tops supposedly from factory.


i think it would take away the whole luxury look of the marks though.

My 1983 Mustang GT has T-Tops, nothing better on a nice sunny day!

my Mark VIII doesn't have a sunroof but I didn't want one either, if I win the lottery I might have it made into a convertible.

i think it would add to the sporty immage of the car myself. It seems as if the only cars with t-tops were known as performance cars.

Put t-tops in, and you're gonna get leaks eventually, weaken the structure of the car until subframes are installed, squeaks, rattles, etc.

Just buy a 3rd gen F-Body and save the Mark from bastardization.

I cant remember but i beleive i saw an old mark series with t-tops. But i would predict that T-tops would look quite goofy on these cars.

on the Mark VIII they would be ugly.
