Well I took a short trip this weekend or should I say from 12:00 (Noon) Friday to 8:30 PM Saturday.

A buddy of mine bought a Vet on eBay and wanted me to drive with him to Pleasent Hill PA to pick it up and drive his other car back.

We left Friday at 12:00 after a flat tire and some banking in Madison we were able to get to Chicago just in time for the 5:00 traffic. :steering

So Why am I telling you this. Well if you drive a Lincoln or Cadillac and Live between Rockford IL and Gary IN and you passed an idiot from Wisconsin waving at you. It was me LOL. :waving:

I know many of you are from the Greater Chi area and seeing I was in your back yard I wanted to say Hi So HI!

We made it to Youngstown OH by 2:00 AM thanks to the wonderful fast moving traffic from Chicago to Gary.

Wow, how do you guys do it everyday :woowoo2: I walk to work only 2 blocks away.

We picked up the Vet at 8:00 AM Sat morning and headed back to Boscobel, WI. We made it back by 8:30 PM Sat.

Oh I was waving on the way back also - Just incase I missed anyone. :waving:

Damn, I didn't leave the house today. You drove like 2 miles from me. NEXT TIME TELL ME! You could have stopped here.

If there was time for stopping LOL, this guy was on a mission it was go go let's get there and back. :waving:

On the way back the vet's fuel line rotted through and began to leak. :Bang The only way it wouldn't leak is if the vacuum kept running. LOL. So from Gary to Boscobel we never turned off the vet.

Told him if I had phone #'s of some of the Midwest members we probably could get this fix.

He bought 2 more cars from this guy also, so I may be coming through in a couple weeks.

He bought a 86 Mercedes and a 50's Willey's Jeep. Last week he picked up a 1929 Mercedes replica from this same guy.

No, he was not a car collector until last week.

He won't be picking them up until August, so I might be coming through again.

Mespock, the phone number idea is a common one with car clubs. Once things get up and running, off the ground, a newsletter with members that are willing to lend a hand, there location and phone number would be a good idea. Sounds like you had quite a trip!

Trip was a rush - I only wish I had one of my Marks for the ride. I couldn't take my Mark VII as it was having tranny troubles - and my wife like what she calls her car the Mark VIII.

So I had to take a Dodge Caravan :pat:.

But here one for those Ricer fans - or lets call it the Fast and the Furious want to be's.

Coming out of a Toll booth on I-88 a guy with a 1990's Monty Carlo with loud pipes, punches the peddle down. The car squats a bit and roars off next to my. I punched my Caravan and kept with him.

How humbling for him. I wasn't trying to race him but catch up to my buddy in his 75 vet.
