In the woods 80 kids and explosives, my choice is #3 delerious, and LVC and DQ withdrawls for sure!!!!!!

Well all went well.. All rockets launched... I lost all large C engine size rockets in the woods. 2 went into the clouds and we never saw where the went.

The two stage rocket well... Second stage went off while on the way down and burried itself in the ground..

Thursday night was great.... We had a DJ and I bet you can't guess what song got all the kids up and screaming.... Hmmmmm....

No students were lost...

I've been taking our sixth graders on this trip for 22 years. That's 66 day of camping with 11 to 12 year olds.... and you wonder why I like the Numa Numa....

Only negative was on Friday moring I heard my Grandmother had passed....

So now I am in Two Rivers, WI waiting for the furneral on Monday... Grandmother was 93 years old and had a very good life..

Thanks again to all..

Tonight was my Grandmother's wake and it was a very nice evening.. My Dad passed away 25 years ago this past July. Do to complex situations I was not very close to my Dad's side of the family.. As we were growing up my mother kept a distance from my Dad's side... I didn't get to spend much time with them.

Now as an adult I've tried to get closer and stay close with them.. They all live about 4 to 5 hours away so I don't get to see them too much, and when I do get home my Mother make sure my time is spent.

Tonight at the wake during a small service my Dad's 4 siblings brought me to the front with them and place had me sit in what would have been my Dad's place at the head of the family, and treated me as I belonged in with them.. This was a great honor for me.

Many of my aunts, uncles, and cousins got together after and it was fantastic spending time and really getting to talk about lost time.

I was 19 when my Dad died very unexpected.. Although I have gotten over his death.. his loss was and still is difficult for me.

When I saw Mike and his father at the August Meet, and had time to talke to Mike's Dad and how proud he is of Mike, I envied that experience never being able to share being and adult with my Dad. I also understood the feeling that Mike's Dad had. Mike you are very lucky...

I hope that I am able to share moments with my son like that..

Ok, it's been an emotional day and late... So I'm a little sappy...
