Political lobbying from network tv?

The question this raises to me is, should this kind of thing be allowed? Forget for a minute that this is an example of good things coming out of a lobbying group. Do you think that in general, big, well funded corporations with huge media tie-ins, should be allowed to become political pulpits for special interest causes?

..there's nothing new about media outlets shilling for liberal interest groups. The difference here is that they are now bold enough to come out and saying it. Not that I'm saying the female sex slave is a liberal interest group. It's not. And that's probably why Lifetime is confident enough to bring attention to this issue.

But once this show is over, they'll resume their political influenced schedule, and we'll all have to pretend that it's neutral. Do they still air Designing Women or Murphy Brown?
