This is my brother's car, it's a 94 BMW 530i V8 sport with manual transmision. It has 120000km/75000mi on it. What do you guys think of it. It has 17" M5 wheels from the same generation M5s. The red tape doesn't make it any faster, but I don't know why it is over there. He just bought the car and he brought it in from Germany like three days ago. The tape is gonna go for sure but why they put it over there I have no idea, those are the holes where the screws for the cover go in.

You are right, the BMW gave V8s to 5 series in 94, but that was in US market. The European market got those V8s in 92, the 530i and 540i. They had a 530i before 92 and it was a 6 cylinder chain driven engine like the ones used in 535i (88-93 in US) just with 3.0 instead of 3.5. But after 92 in Europe there was no more 6 cylinder 530s or 535s.

I have no idea why that red tape is there.

I just learned about this yesterday but I had no idea on the LS that if you put the key in the door and turned it to the left for a few seconds that all the windows and the sun roof would open and turning it to the right closes everything. I am sure you already knew. You see I always use the remote to open the doors that I had never used the key before. Are there any other tricks with the LS that you know about that I would not know. John

if you push and hold the unlock button on the remote for 3-4 seconds it will also roll down all the windows and open the sunroof

Yea, he changed few things on it. He got clear taillights, black chrome OEM exhaust tips, 540i sport front lower brake cooling things under the fog lights and license plates.
