Ok i installed my exhaust cutouts. I bought a pair of them from ebay for $25. To get them welded in cost me $30.

Well i do have the magnaflow mufflers that i had put on the stock pipes. This $55 mod gave me quite a bit more power. When i smash on the peddle from a stop my tires will spin, that never used to happen, and at WOT the top end is very nice!

What's up with peering back and forth over your shoulder around as you are walking to and from the car? Makes you look shady, like you're up to no good. :N

Anyway, the LS's do sound decent with no exhaust at all. When I installed my Magnaflow system I just had to start the car after the stock stuff came off. I like the way they sound at idle w/ no exhaust; kinda like an '03-'04 Cobra. Any thing above idle is just loud as hell.

So do these open up electronically? And were did you place them? The price seems very good, because i've seen these run up to 200 bucks.

I will tell you that it is extremely loud for 90% of your tasts. I got the cheap manual flange one, the electronic ones way too expensive. They were mounted just after the cat, between where the resonators should be and the bend.

By drone do you mean, extremely loud humming noise? When on a non accelerating speed after the car is warm at about 4k-5k RPM there is a really loud resonant tone. If you roll down the windows the wind helps dissipate it but unless you really like the humming it will get pretty annoying.

Ok, that's good to know seeing as how I've been tossing the idea of getting and electronic cut out. Still up in the air though. Do you guys think its worth it or do you find a conventional aftermarket exhaust to be the better route.
