why does the oil sensor on my dash board sound off even when nothing is wrong and how can this be fixed?

oil level lamp? the sensor just takes a dump sometimes, they are cheap and easy to change while changing the oil (don't forget the gasket too, doesn't come with the sensor !) it works by grounding the lead to the lamp....
