abs light still on

Ok as some of you know my wheel studs on the driver front wheel fell off and my wheel was hanging on by one stud and apparently it did some damage to abs unit or sensor because when I start my car, nothing is wrong, then about 10 miles into driving my ABS light comes on. Is this most likely an ABS sensor that got bent up or the entire ABS hub?

thanks,
scott

Sounds like it's toast. I am still trying to figure out how to pull the codes from my ABS. Mine pretty much behaves the same way as yours. The light comes on after driving a few feet or miles. Once in a while the ABS kicks on as well.

A 1995 Lincoln probably has its own ABS plug to connect to. I had a town car in my shop the other day and it had a plug under the hood for the computer dianostic connection, another in the trunk for the air ride suspension and another under the hood for abs. All the plugs were the same , the same connector from my scan tool connected to all three plugs ( one at a time ofcourse). You would need to purchase a manual to find out where your plug is...I don't think you can use self diagnostics to retrieve your codes..you will more than likely need a scanner. If you will email me tomorrow at immusicman@hotmail.com I will look it up on my software and be able to tell you where the plug is and what it takes to check it. Please include the year of your car and make. glad to help if I can.

I would love to know where the plugs are on my conti. I hate having this problem. I have cleaned my sensors also and that didn't help
