Hey guys, figured this would be a good way to get some good shots of this great country we live in. Here are my most recent. I went to Oregon with my friend jeb, and get to see some BEAUTIFUL countryside.

The first group of pics are the trip up to see Mt. St Helens. The drive up there is AWESOME, and you can STILL see the destruction caused by the blast over 20 years ago.

Next is the trip to crater lake, this is THE most beautiful site I have EVER seen, and hope to make it back one day to take a ferry ride out to the island in the middle. It was too early in the season to go, when I was there.

Last is our trip down to Pebble beach California, this was the most interesting drive, as we had to turn around halfway through to go a different route. The road we chose was still snowed over, and impassable. That was a 5 hour ride just to get there. We were lucky enough to get a BRAND new Ford Expedition rental. Lots of room, and comfortable out on the highway.

The picture of the little girl is jeb's niece, and too cute not to include, anyway here are the pics!!!

Finally got around to resizing a few pics to show you guys of our big summer vacation.

First big stop was the Grand Canyon with me and the kiddos.
Next was Hoover Dam and just one night in Vegas (don't want the rug rats seeing too much of Sin City) with the awesome fountains at Belagio.
Then it was on to the northern California coast.
The magnificent redwoods.
Crater Lake (I don't think anyone can take a bad picture at this wonderfully scenic national treasure.)
Jellystone . . . er, I mean Yellowstone Park (think Dances with Wolves).
While not the most spectacular of sites on our vacation, Mount Rushmore stirred my patriotic spirit more than the other places. (Stay for the lighting ceremony if you go.)
Rocky Mountain National Park had some breathtaking scenery as well.
5400 miles! What a trip!!

Had to go to Iowa over the weekend so Michelle could pick up her new car - So, I stopped and took some pics along the way JUST for you guys and this thread. These pics were taken at a rest stop on the Illinois Blue Star Memorial - dedicated to the Armed Forces that have Defended the US.

This rest stop has a very tall tower that lets you see for miles around. I hiked up to the top (hope you all appreciate the climb I made for you guys) to take pics. The countryside is beautiful, and you can see how high up I am by the pics of my 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII.

We also stopped for dinner at The Rafters" a local spot which is actually pretty nice - its made out of a completely renovated old barn.

Hope you all like.

ROFL! Actually - I have a problem going high speeds - any little bump and my muffler tips scrape - those pics I have the air ride turned off, which stops the problem. Not exactly sure why its doing that - but thats the temp fix only until I can figure out what exactly is wrong -
