I am a newbie I just registered. I just purchased a 2004 LS. I honestly thought that the headlight were HID but to my surprise they are not. I would like to convert them. Does anyone know about the kits. I can get the kits on ebay but I want a real nice looking one, like the mercedes. I dont want them to look ugly or aftermarket. I was thinking to get the 12000 kelvin kit b/c they look the best I think. Any information about the kits would be great. If you could tell me what bulbs I have to get for the low and high beam. I looked on sylvania.com but I really couldn't understand which ones I needed. Again I would really appreciate any information you can throw at me. Even if its just your opinion on what color you like best.

GrayGhost1 September 8th, 2005, 12:37 PM In my opinion, it would be best if you bought the OEM HID headlamps instead of getting an aftermarket kit. This way you can use any D2R/D2S bulb in them. The OEM bulbs come in any denomination like the aftermarket kits. You can get them from 4300K - 12000K. Every now and then you can catch the OEM HID headlamps on eBay but if you want them quicker just head to the dealer or contact Bill Jenkins at TeamFord. His information is:

The 2003 and up LS's with the non-HID headlights take the H11 bulb for the low beam and 9005 for the high beam.

94m5 October 19th, 2005, 01:07 AM You don't want HID for the high beams......they don't like being turned off and on. At least that is my expierence with them.
