Today I got a speeding ticket for 103 in a 55 zone! I was coming home from work and a camaro was next to me. He wanted to race and I had to show him what marks are made for!! SPEED! sure enough a state trooper radars me at 103! and I was just getting started!! He almost took me in, but lucky me he was in a good mood! I dont know what will happen at my court date but if anyone has had a similar ticket let me know how it went.. State is VA by the way. :slam

you get a tiket lets see if he put racing on the tiket you might loose your license or just get 3 points for doing almost 50 over i think

Suck it up and take it. Ask....no, BEG for court supervision, and slow down next time. I got popped for 110 in a 55, and will NEVER do it again. Life is too short to be taking chances like that.

I grabbed the Valentine 1 radar detector on Ebay when I had the chance. Still a little expensive but it was worth it. On the highway, it is almost always dead accurate when cops are near. Except it has false alarms a lot which get kind of annoying, but I thought it was well worth it. I feel naked when I drive without it now.

I got one on ebay too, there 200-400 rang. Ya its paid for its self half way so far. Last night I wasn't Speeding horible but doing 70 75ish in that range in 65 and it gave time to slow down.

i got caught doin 112 in a 55 in NJ and well i paid about a grand in bull:q:q:q:q and got 4 points on my liscnece, not to mention insurance cost about 1000 bucks more a year now... it blows, but i tried to outrun the cop in my other car (t3 turbo charged v-tech civic, spraying a 75 shot) was about half a mile ahead of the cop and than i hit traffic..

I've payed about 3 grand worth of traffic fines to VA when i lived there, moved to jersey and my record got wiped clean. :Beer Then i got a ticket for 'improper passing' in a passing zone (seriously, dude was just being an :q:q:q:q:q:q:q, i passed when i was allowed by the LAW to pass) + a 50 dollar ticket for HALF of my third brake light being out. (same time) Guy was just being a dick. :Bang

Just learn this, from now on, if you get pulled over for anything, you WILL get a ticket. Snowball effect. :bash:

suspension reinstatment
licens plate replacmen everything ine like 12 year about 35k to 40k
that also include lawyers fee to bear a DUI charg that i won back in 2001
the lawer charged arm leg and foot
16k for 7 months in court

Unless you have a HEAVILY modified VIII, your not gona be ahead of an SS in a race. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume it was an LS1 model. Those things would rip you a new A-Hole out on the highway. He was either, just messing with you, or it was a V-6. Those are the only viable options.

Also, we need to chill out on the name calling. Some people can't type as well as others so lighten up a bit.

Good luck. Hopefully something works out and you plead-out and get a fine and three-times insurance. That's what happened to a buddy on mine down there for 100MPH...

Call and see if you can go to traffic school/driving school. If it's available in your state that may be an option. In MS it lowers whatever the standard fine would be down to $35 and nothing goes on your record or obviously your insurance. I think you can do that once a year here.

I was in front of him. I think he slowed down because he didnt want a ticket!!!!! Lucky me!!!
And yes im looking for a driving class to attend. My layer told me to do a AAA course because it looks better in court.
