Results?UNVMYCTS June 30th, 2004, 09:50 AM When are we going to see the results. I am O so anxious!!!!!!! :dj: :dancefool MonsterMark June 30th, 2004, 10:29 AM We're still bickering. You've seen the entrants. A lot of nice cars. Its hard to narrow them down. Maybe Joey will get them up today. Try the exercise yourself. It is really hard to not want to only look at your personal preferences, but at all the aspects of a car. Anyway, good luck to you. Joeychgo June 30th, 2004, 10:37 AM yeah we're gonna choose 4 cars since we cant agree on only 3. :-) its down to the last car -- sometime today I think. ShadowLvr400 June 30th, 2004, 10:52 AM I still think DaveSmed, Me, and Bad69Cad in that order. :) There was a 76 Eldo Convertible which looked nice, but the picture just wasnt real good. Needs a better picture though. The XLR is nice, but it's just a new car... I cant quite put what's essentially a showroom floor machine up top in a car contest like this. The love Bad69 and Smed show for their classics, the time, effort, and creativity on mine... I think those are the top 3. Joeychgo June 30th, 2004, 11:11 AM you all will have your chance to decide -- we are just selecting the 4 finalists. You all vote on the final winner. UNVMYCTS June 30th, 2004, 11:58 AM Remember this a best caddy contest not a best classic caddy contest. New cars should have as good a shot if not better then the classics. I think the XLR should definitely be up there. But, that is just my opinion I think the finalists will be a mixed bag of new caddys and classics.you all will have your chance to decide -- we are just selecting the 4 finalists. You all vote on the final winner. UNVMYCTS June 30th, 2004, 12:00 PM I think ShadowLvr400 is trying to sway the judges. LOL just kidding you do have a sweet ride but it's out of our hands for know!Remember this a best caddy contest not a best classic caddy contest. JoshMcMadMac June 30th, 2004, 12:15 PM I think we all have our opinions on it, but that doesn't matter yet. Of course most people will think their car should be a finalist; I did with the Lincoln Contest. But that's not the point. Keep your pants on, relax, and wait it out. The suspense is half the fun! You'll get to see and vote soon enough. :) Joeychgo June 30th, 2004, 12:40 PM Vote Now - Best Looking Cadillac Contest http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=1247 1_XLR June 30th, 2004, 02:28 PM The XLR is nice, but it's just a new car... JUST a new car???? :eek2: WTF Sifrino3 June 30th, 2004, 03:15 PM :eek2: JUST a new car???? :eek2: WTF ShadowLvr400 July 1st, 2004, 12:30 AM Shocked by me referring to it as "just a new car"? The XLR doesn't wow me. My opinion of the CTS' styling is even lower. IMO, the only car available right now that matches the CTS for being down right, butt ugly, MIGHT be the Scion Xb. But even the Scion's shape has a point, and value to it. The CTS-V is only made decent to me because of the power plant. Oh, actually, do they still make the Pontiac Aztec? That's equally ugly IMO to the CTS. Guess what, the XLR has a similar style to the CTS, so it's not earning points with me there. As for your individual car 1XLR, it doesnt have much done to it. There's no new ground broken by you, no custom design touches that make it YOUR XLR, it's just a XLR. A classic car can get away with not having "new ground" in design and customization, because the simple act of restoring some of these is the custom work. Sorry XLR, nothing personal, but your XLR just doesnt do much for me. | ||||
