Just saw the pics on the Lincoln website and I got say I like it. The outside and the inside is nice. Standard heated seats, 10 way power seat and other features. I think HIDS are standard too. I would buy it too if I had the money. Now if I can see that car pull the 0-60 in 6.something seconds, it would be a great car. It uses 87 gas too since we need that because of the gas prices.

i do not know about HID's being a standard option. knowing lincoln it is going to be a option like on all their cars. i rather wait until the AWD version comes out.

In my recent autoweek magazine, they had a look at the ford fusion. weight is around 3100 lbs, combined gas mileage around 24.6.
They said the fusion looks like it's built better, but the lackluster engine isn't a Honda killer just yet/ Though AWD + better engine would make a much better car.

Just got my car and driver which had a long preview of the Fusion, as well as a blurb about the Zephyr.
Base price: $29,995
Traction control, ABS, side airbags, 17" wheels standard
Good news: 3.5L V-6 with 250 hp expected next year with AWD- possibly a hybrid in the future too.
Expect a new car to replace the LS and Conti? based on the Ford 500's platform, bleah, no RWD.

That was my own speculation- they just mentioned that 2 new platforms would be introduced, so I presume they are to fill the void left by the LS and Continental.
