When you have two wires (12V) of the same color, one black with a stripe and the other just black without a stripe, which one is (+) and which one is (-)? Anyone.

standard color coding would inticate black striped is negative. always use a voltmeter or multimeter. it's never worth the risk

Its for a set ccfl's, the ballasts are wierd. They are usually labeled. The directions say the red is positive, yet there is no red wire.

The ballast (transformer) will only work one way..... if you connect it and it doesnt work then obviously flip it. I just did this last Sat to test a ccfl.

But with the ccfl transformer you should be safe.
