I have just come across a 1992 Continental Signature with 153k miles on it, good tires new engine. But it needs a transmission. I know someone who happens to have a 1994 transmission out of a ford taurus (also with the 3.8). Can in interchange these two or is it a lost cause? I'm not going to buy the car until i know. Thanks a lot guys!

I say go for it. The taurus and the Conti have the same transmission. I don't see why they wouldn't interchange. Put the trans in the Conti and drive it like theres no tomorrow. :Beer
