ive got a 99 Navi 2wd.

I want to know , I need to change a rear tire and heard a while back that lifting the truck without shutting off the air ride will damge the system. Is that true?

If so how do I turn it off?

Thanks,

JD

Yes, its true. Always turn off the air ride when the vehicle will be lifted off its wheels. On a side note, If your ever towed, ask for a flatbed truck, dont let them hook up.

Im not sure where the switch is in the navigator, in the Mark VIII its in the trunk. Check your owners manual but I would guess the switch is in the back on the left side of the the rear door.

It's on the passenger side underneath the glove box. From outside the vehicle, look underneath the glove box in the corner close to the passenger side door and you'll see it.

if you are just changing a tire its not that important to shut the air suspension off, but its good practice.

As stated the switch is behind the passenger side kick panal.
