EARVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON HANDS OVER KEYS TO A BIRTHDAY GIFT THAT TRAVELS WELL

http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/joey/Magic2.jpgWIXOM, Mich. June 11, 2004—Lincoln vehicles and Earvin "Magic" Johnson already know how to "Travel Well." Now, Earvin Johnson Sr., does too -- thanks to a new 2004 Lincoln Town Car he received from his son as a 70th birthday present.

Earvin "Magic" Johnson gave his father the keys to a new Town Car at a ceremony today at Wixom Assembly.

"Usually, it's the father who buys their son a car," said Earvin "Magic" Johnson. "I'm proud to be able to give my dad a Lincoln Town Car that offers the luxury I know he'll appreciate." Lincoln Mercury and Earvin "Magic" Johnson formed a multi-faceted marketing and advertising relationship last year. "Lincoln and Earvin Johnson both stand for style, sophistication and a spirit of generosity," said Lincoln Mercury President Darryl Hazel. "Today, we're pleased to participate in an event where we're giving back to someone in the family."

The Lincoln Town Car delivers on the notion of "Travel Well," Lincoln's advertising tag-line. "With a Town Car, Earvin Johnson Sr., gets a full-size luxury sedan well known for its smooth ride and superb comfort," Hazel said.

The six-passenger Lincoln Town Car offers best-in-class hip room, front and rear shoulder room and trunk capacity. Features include a full power trunk with key fob open and close and Lincoln Navigation System.

Under the hood is a 239-horsepower 4.6-liter V-8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The Town Car offers Ford Motor Company's Personal Safety System, one of the most comprehensive driver and front-seat passenger restraint systems available. The Town Car received the U.S. government's top five-star rating in all categories for two years in a row, 2003 and 2004. The Town Car was also the first car in history to receive a five-star rating in all five categories.

In addition, the Lincoln Town Car has one of the industry's most loyal customer bases, winning the 2003 Polk Owner Loyalty Award for the luxury car segment.

The Lincoln Town Car is built at Wixom Assembly.
