hey guys what is going on? well i know of this company but was very sekptic of them until just recently. i bought the lastest issue of MM&FF, they had installed comp cams, cams, valve springs, timing chain on to a 97 cobra! are those parts they used... well i know they would fit, but will they produce horsepower gains on the marks? i am not saying that they will drasticlly jump to like 50HP. but maybe along the lines of 15-25HP??? if so would they be a good choice or is there some other aftermarket company to go with? thanks guys! :L

Comp cams is OK. Crower seems to have a better product, especailly the billet camshafts. But I think for what you're going to spend, you'll be seriously disappointed in the results vs. $$$ spent. First, replacing and timing the cams is these cars is a royal slut; and paying a mechanic to do it will probably cost what the cams themselves cost.

Second, depending upon the profile of the cams, you may also need to upgrade your rear differential gear, your torque converter stall, a better exhaust, and you'll require a chip.

I think you'll appreciate the results if you have a blower, but if you insist on better cams, don't buy from vendors. Check the Modular classified forums over at the Corral. I've seen lots of guys selling aftermarket and custom cams for more than half of what you'll spend from vendors.

thanks evil. i just checked Crower's site and the prices on their cams, not bad, about half what Comp Cams charges. i probably need to check out Crower's site alil more, cause i did not see any vavle springs. the type of cams that i was looking over at Comp Cams, only needed their vavle springs, but no computer mods were required. here is the link BTW to their cams.
