Looks good to me. A little wash and wax, replace the front wheel, and looks like you're good to go. Nice car! Congrats.

Oh my, three in close proximity. Maybe if you're lucky you can only have one at the house at a time, and she won't notice that there are three, thinking it is all the same car. Ok, maybe not, but you can hope!

What year is it? Does it have the elctronic dash?

If so, I am looking for the Speedometer wire harness.

I don't understand this thread. I don't know any Cadillac owners with parts cars. Is this common amongst Lincoln owners

yep, I have taken apart 5 perfectly good and 2 not so good Mark VII's and stripped them for parts in the past 18 months, unfortunately these cars have an extremely low resale value and can be expensive to fix when major componenets go bad. Down here in Florida these cars are a dime a dozen and can be gotten very cheap and I make more money selling them for parts than selling the car as a whole.

Dude michigan will destroy a lincoln easy. I wish i could come across a lincoln from the eighties without destroyed paint. Hey when you are done with all the parts cars you might have enough parts for another car. LOL

It's the dedication from guys like Karl that helps keep the rest of us on the road! Like he said, he happens to be in a location where they are dirt cheap. It seems the farther north and west you go, the more expensive they become.

John, I leave them out from under covers and park them all in the driveway just to piss her off !! My goal is to have one in the garage and 5 in the driveway so she has to park on the street !! :gr_devil: :gr_devil:

And what does she drive? You can't get her to drive a MarkVII?

Nah, she drives an exploder. She likes the Mark's though, especially the white one, cause she leaves a couple hundred miles of my tires on the road every time she drives it :bash:

I wish I had the knowledge to take a car that much appart and be able to put it all back together. :gr_hail:

So do you have extra parts left over when you are finished?

LSC SS

most parts get sold in a couple weeks, I save some for myself.
The garage ony looks that bad cause I just got done tearing this car apart.(motor and tranny came out tonite) Started out last saturday as a complete car, going to the boneyard this saturday with no drivetrain , interior or electronics and all of the bolt-on body parts gone.

JoshMcMadMac
July 2nd, 2004, 08:55 AM
So does the boneyard pay you for the carcus, take it for free, or charge you? Around here it's tough to get someone to come and take it without an engine and not charge you for removal. :(

LSC SS
July 2nd, 2004, 07:02 PM
Nah, they don't charge me, as many cars as me and fordguy have given them they better not !! Plus they do all my towing for me so they make it back anyway!!
Thanx to me they are the only junkyard in the area with any Mark VII's so they make money off what's left of them when I'm done.

Awesome, how long to dismantle this one?

Hopefully it will go to the scrapper this saturday, I'm doing this one outside (it was sitting in a field for quite a while and has all kinds of interesting things living in it, don't want ot bring it inside !!) and it's calling for rain all week so we'll see.

Outside, huh? So is any of the interior worth anything? Is it a black interior?
