EBC pads and rotors?

I've been searching past forums about the use of EBC pads and rotors and have found very little in any. Has any body used them, and if so what do you think of them. Any other input about them would be appreciated. I can get full front and rear sets (rotors and red pads) for about $420.

I see many of you use porterfield pads. What is the average cost of front and rear pads. Went to the website, can't seem to get it to work properly.

Thanks,

Brad

I've heard the EBC pads are quite good in comparison to the more inexpensive autozone or pepboys type pads and rotors.

Choosing brake pads and rotors are like choosing tires.... it all depends on how you drive your car. If you auto-x or track your car, porterfields are the way to go, but they take a bit of time to reach operating temps in order for them to work good.

Most other times people either want a quiet pad or want one that is dust-free. Very few inexpensive pads offer both. Inexpensive pads that are quiet, are often dirty. And dust-free pads might have some noise.

Regardless, I think the EBC pads/rotors would be a good combo.

I run EBC Redstuff pads and love them.

Porterfield R4S pads are great for the street and some track use. Their R4 pad is a race pad that needs to heat up before it really grips.
