Problem with the 94' Mark

This just started happening recently after I installed the LMS MAF and Nology wires with new autolite 764's....

When I let off the gas above 35-40 mph the car starts to jerk slightly like I am tapping the gas then slightly accelerating. Under 35 mph and while I have the gas pressed, even if it is only slightly pressed to hold speed, the car drives fine and smooth, but again, once I let go of the gas and let it coast it feels like I am slipping in and out of gear or something. Very strange, new problem.

Any takers on this one? THANKS!!

Sounds like it could be the torque converter. Here's a simple test. When it does it again, try 'riding' the brakes enough to light the brake lights but not enough to actually brake. If the rpms pick up slightly and the jerk goes away, it's the lockup clutch.

If that's not it, try 'clocking' the MAF. That is, if the MAF sensor is at 12 o'clock around the MAF, loosen the clamps and rotate to another position. Tighten the clamps and go for a test ride.

I had the same problem on my car. Called Geno and he said to clock the MAF as well. Worked right away. In addition, when this happens watch your RPMs. Mine dropped a bit when I felt it. Again, this was fixed by clocking the MAF.

Thanks to both of you, I turned the MAF from 3 o'clock to 6 o'clock and everything was smoothed out.... FEW!!! You guys saved my night, now I can go to sleep.
