94m5 August 9th, 2005, 12:53 AM IIRC, they are 8mm allen head bolts. It's been SO long since I worked on a 2nd gen.
Kbob August 9th, 2005, 09:54 AM It's just a 1/4" drive, no socket attached.

It's removed for cosmetic reasons. The gen 1's (93 to 96) have the big engine cover that is gaudy. Most remove that one as well.

I like the gen 1 cover in the engine compartment. Is it possiable to put it on the gen 2
98LSC32V August 10th, 2005, 03:52 PM No it won't fit, look at how different the intake manifold is plus the COP.
94m5 August 10th, 2005, 05:24 PM COP ingition would'nt affect that. It doesnt stick up anymore than the gen1 does. the intake is all wrong tho.
Mike
mark0101 August 11th, 2005, 01:12 PM I have one more question, I have heard that the intake of the gen 1 is better, is that true.
98LSC32V August 11th, 2005, 05:04 PM Yes, the gen 1 intake flows more.
