yes you need a spider valve, then you can do it but alot of gas station pumps are gay and dont have the psi to fill I use mine at my house 180PSI and it fills up in seconds

Disconnect the inlet and outlet lines. You will have to put pressure on both lines to open the relay. You may then air the bags to full pressure. It would be usefull to put a manually operated relay on each air spring, particularly the front, to allow you to fill the air bags to their maximun volumn, for times when you have to drive in water. You can gain several inches of clearance this way. If the water gets up to the bumper, immediately kill your engine and push the car to higher ground. Trust me, when you suck water up into the engine through the breather (the inlet is at the bottom of the front bumper), rods can and will break. Water does not compress worth a crap. LOL VERY expensive mistake. I also advise re-routing the breather inlet to pull air from the engine cavity rather than below the bumper.

conversely, is there a way to manually DEFLATE the bags?

The reason i'am asking is due because my old 94 viii engine is gone, i need to tow car back home but, the air suspension wont raised the bags even though the compressor kicks in, ever since my car went i water. the front was working fine now is acting up so i need to raise car for towing. so the old model had a series of codes to inflate each individual bags to desire height,this model the mark viii dont have any visible compressor , but i hear it.so if i can't find the compressor i wont find the vale and if i dont find the valve i can't tow it! :eek2:

If you unfasten the solenoid they will deflate completely.
