Beware the 79-93 H or X Pipe on later Marks...

Working between the Florida rain :Bang , I transfered the Turbo Coupe suspension and figured I'd transfer the exhaust as well... however...

My newer Mark is a '91 and I noticed that the H-pipe is offset to cat-backs much differently than the older Marks or 'Stangs. So now I guess I'll transfer my BBK H-pipe from the '85 Mark to get it all to fit right.

Just in case some of y'all go and buy an aftermarket fox body H or X-Pipe for '79-'93.
I'm not sure when the Mark VII started this... does anyone know?

I'll post "difference pics" when I get the '91 H-pipe out, tomorrow.

Ahh, thanks John! Why the hell did they do that? Trying to kill the fox-body compatabilities? Bah!

Here's the photo.. .85 vs. 91 H-Pipe. Cost me an extra 2 hours of labor. :Bang ... lol ('85 is on the right)

Additionally, upon installing my stang BBK H-Pipe to the '91 Mark, the passenger side O2 sensor has no clearance because of the stock starter motor housing so I plugged it with an old temp sensor, temporarily. :slam

So I guess the T-5 transfer will take place this weekend, just so that I can fit the O2 sensor. lol. uGh!
