bought mine in january. a couple months when it first came out, but the coolest thing is i did not pay the orginal $500 for the thing. there was a promotional thing at my local cingular store selling it for $199 (which is now the current price).

im a nextel guy but i dont get very good service in my house, it pisses me the :q off...im thinking about going to cingular and getting this sony ericsson phone i saw...but i dont want to lose the driect connect feature since 75% of the people i know use it...what sould I do!!!

im with verizon and in the past 2 months my bills have amounted to over 800 and thats jsut my line. they :q:q:q:qed me over and then only gave me 250 credit. so my buddy works at US cellular and has a deal
1000 anytime-free incoming calls and text- free nights and weekends- motorola v70 )40 bucks)----for the 1st 6 months 25- then it goes up to 45---- for every referal i give him i get 10 off my bill, so 4 people no bill. so i gotta pay this final bill and pay the 175 cancellation fee. 400 dollars, but think how much ill save

glad t hear the good reviews on the razr. I am considering buying one. I canned SPCS last year sometime and have been cellie phree for over a year. I am really holding out for nice windows based cellie so I can wifi or 3g connect. I want to take working from home to woking any where. I already have a kick ass laptop with 17" FP 3.4GHz and 1.5 GB ram with a 128 video card. I just need some solid connectivity thatb will varry VoIP.

I had a similar deal with a Kyrocera Slider. I was with US Cellular for four years with no problems except roaming. When I moved out to Indiana I was screwed so I had to pay for roaming then I switched to Verizon cause all of my friends have it, free calls to every one. I have the Motorola V710 and I would advise you not to get that phone. I like the phone but the picture quality is poor. Most of the other camera phones I see take much better pictures than the V710. The phone has to have plenty of light to work and if there is too much then it blurs features out. I have had no problems with Verizon since I have had them(four months).

One of the guys at work got a pair of the black Razrs (one for himself, one for his wife). His contract with AT&T was up, so he needed to switch to a different carrier: the Oklahoma City market is one of the few AT&T Wireless markets that had to be divested (it was sold too Alltel, and nobody around here seems to like them). As a result, with a two-year contract and some rebates he found through a Web site, he got the two Razrs for FREE. Yep, $0.

From what he was told, the black Razrs are "harsh environment" phones that were developed for use by our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Whether that's true or not, he really likes the phone; if they made a CDMA version, I'd get one. My work phone is Cingular, but it's a Treo 650, so there's no chance of me switching that one--the calendaring on the Razr is completely useless for my purposes. My personal phone is SprintPCS; I detest SBC, and it's bad enough that I have to use them for land-line service--I'll be damned if I'm going to give them money for my cellular business.

RAZR SHMAZR, get rid of your toy and get a real phone. If my Treo was a women I would marry it. The one tool and businessman can't live without!! JK, I really love the RAZR, one of my old co-workers had one, and it was pretty smooth. Def a looker, but I can't live without all the features that are available on my Treo 600.

I work for Verizon and they by far have the best service hands down. I have a Treo and a Moto 710. I will have the e815 in 2 weeks to take over my 710 but my treo is by far my favorite. :N

Ive had a cell phone everyday for the past 16 years or so and can say my Razr is the best one yet. Wife has a Treo 650 which is real nice but I prefer my Razr. Dont need all the bells and whistles of the Treo. Plus my CIngular service is better than anyone I know with a diff service.

I have been with Verizon for 7 yrs now before that they where Airtouch Celluar, I tell you what there service is unremarkable. I can go from LA to NYC and have excellent service with no roaming. By far the best!

I have been wanting to switch to Cingular and would definately go with a Razr, but through my work i get a 23% corporate discount through sprint every month, and with my mother and brother under my plan *they just pay me after I pay the bill* to get the discount, i'm kinda stuck =/. Service is usually great but I have noticed a horrible trend. New cell phone with sprint = great service everywhere for about a year.. then it slowly degrades. Keeps you having to buy a new phone all the time it seems =/

Can't wait for sprint and nextels merger to finish and the new phones to come out.

Get a boost pre paid phone just with direct connect and get your cingular phone, thats what my friend did!
