I recently bought a 96 continental (83k, pearl ex. and int.). No real problems so far. I had some quircks with the windows, but that was easily fixed- still under warranty. At first the remote didn't work, but after popping it open it turned out that some idiot had put the batteries in upside down. Reprogrammed it and it worked fine. However, it turns out that this is the memory profile 2 remote. Not that big of a deal, but I'm wondering if it can be re-programmed to be the #1 remote? Anybody ever done this?

I've looked on e-bay and seen some after market remotes for both profiles 1 and 2. These aren't the hour glass shaped ones, but they're small and squarish with colored buttons. Does anyone know if these are worth a crap? They're only $20-$30, but I prefer the hourglass.
