Hi Guys

I need some help with the suspension on a friends '87 Coupe DeVille.

We need to replace both rear air assisted struts and both front struts and have come up against this problem.

How do you know if it is fitted with Heavy Duty suspension? I assume there is a code somewhere but what is the code?

I believe the heavy duty suspension was only on coachbuilder cars. There is a possibility that it could have been ordered, but it is pretty slim.

Check a carfax report on it, they did actually have a trailer towing package. Is there a class II hitch on it? If so, then it does have the heavy duty package.
