What size piping would you go with 2'' , 2.25'' , 2.5'' for a lincoln ls 2000 v6 I personally want to go with 2.25 '' but what do you think would be best?

The exhaust system is one of the worst bangs for the bust, especially with a V6. For what you would spend, you could add a nitrous system to satisfy your need for speed on occasion. Sifrino3 June 19th, 2004, 12:10 AM Whats stock size? Then add .25". Thats how I would do it. (Stock 2", so I would go 2.25") Topcat June 19th, 2004, 03:37 PM There is another LS post asking the same question .... Having done some 4 and 6 cyl race motors , here are my thoughts ,for what they are worth ... Magnaflow sells a 2.5" ,cat back ,system for your LS . "X" pipe crossover ,2 resonators and 2 mufflers. They have posted dyno results 21 HP gain 20 FT Lbs torque increase..My thought is that 2.25" pipe would not change the results much , if any..most muffler shops can only bend up to 2.25" pipe so the big companies boast 2.5 and 3" systems , so there is no round the corner price comparison and compitition.... ONEBADMK8 June 20th, 2004, 10:35 PM We do th v6 in 2.25 and the v8 in 2.50. Heres the v8 system we have. http://www.lincolnmotorsport.com/lsexhaust1.jpg http://www.lincolnmotorsport.com/ls3.jpg http://www.lincolnmotorsport.com/lsxpipe.jpg http://www.lincolnmotorsport.com/lsxpipe2.jpg Sifrino3 June 28th, 2004, 12:00 PM Thats the same x-pipe on my M7. Very clean looking under there, by the way! Magnaflow made mine I believe. . . | |||||
