Car is pretty clean and simple right now, next 2 Months will bring following changes...

check this thread, eleanor had some taillights for sale already painted, i think. im with u im trying to make everything black on my ls, im pretty close have the taillight and the sidemarkers to be sent away. ill be building my system this weekend with black vinyl.

i like the back lights red as well, i was thinking about tinting my side markers instead of going with the clear ones, cause i think the clear ones would stick out like a sore thumb on it... as for the deck, i just picked it out and had the guy install it, if i would do it again tho i would have went with the flush mounted monitor cause they look more factory...

need lil info.

first issue...my brakes sqeek alll the time, annoying as hell,, took to dealer and they fixed it said the spacer or somethin was loose,, yet they are sqeeking again,, . any help?

second issue,, my check engine/emmitions light is on,,, noticed week ago,, car was idling and sounded sweet, and after couple days on highway runnin it to 90,, car idles ruff now. any help?

ohh and my 2 cents on gas mileage.. i was runnin 87 cheap gas and was gettin avrg 19.5 miles a gallon,, city was bout 17-18... other day i put in shell v93 and noticed a decline in miliege,, down to about 17,, and city 16-17

why would that happen?

#1, ive had my pads and rotors replaced and still get loud squeaking, not sure why, ill find out saturday
#2. this happened to me, quikls told me to reset the computer, by unplugging the positive terminal for 30 minutes and itll go away, if it comes back then u have a problem. i did that and light is gone and never came back.
#3. this might be the cause of #2, never put anything lower that 91 in your ls. itll shake, rattle, and not roll. i did it once and got this pinging noise, then went to the top grade and it hasnt come back. spend the extra money now or youll be spending it at the lm dealer getting your ls fixed

THANKS JOE,, ITS THE STOCK GRILLE, I TOOK IT OFF AND SPRAYED IT WITH COLOR CODED SILVER TO MY CAR,, HAD PLACE MIATCH IT AND PUT IT IN A SPRAY CAN,, PRETY EASY TO REMOVE GRILLE AND PAINT ,, ONLY PAIN IN THE ASS WAS SEPERATING THE CHROME TOP FROM THE BLACK,, BE CARFUL,, OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS SIMPLE.

to reset the comp. just unplug the postive terminal from the battery (in the trunk) and leave it unplugged for bout an hour then reconnect it. there you go.

wish i knew that,, would of bought the one that was a lil orangy,brown like my 2000 LS woodgrain, perfect macth,, the mahogony one is beautiful,, be nice if my wood trim matched it, nice loook.

knob new at dealer and other places was bout $200.00

how hards is it to open headlights, and get them resealed.

have a guy doin for me,, but takin to long,., like to dothings myself ,, since i have color match spray left over, from grille, to paint light bezel to match.

I don't think K&N makes an intake system for the LS specifically. There may be one that might fit but at this time they don't make one. So, your only choice from the list above would be the KKM True-Rev Sport Induction Kit.

If I'm not mistaken the wood knobs for the 2000-2002 LS's are different than what is offered for the 2003 and up. Lincoln used the same wood grain pattern for the earlier years.

yeah i installed my own and its very easy and looks amazing. trust me im not "very" good at DIY projects but i managed to do this one perfectly

You should see around 10 HP increase with the KKM. Once you remove the factory air box you will pick up a little more noise under the hood at WOT (wide open throttle). It's not a deafening noise but it sure does sound good. It's a very controlled sound. My only caution is you will experience a decrease in gas milage not from installing the unit but from your right foot being extremely happy. :steering
