MichiganTeddyBear July 16th, 2005, 12:14 PM yea, don't use a 1 or 5 or 10 gallon can to test the pumps accuracy. the unscrupulous stations that have been caught rippin ppl off used a module that would 'modify' the pulse output of the delivery system in the pump to make the display read properly at those intervals, but were way off on others! What I mean is that if you pumped 1 gallon on a bad pump, you got one gallon, but if you pumped 2.5, you might have only gotten 2 gallons. took quite a bit of engineering (and a small single chip microcomputer that was the brains of the module), to pull it off, but it passed the state inspections, because they only checked it at 'even qty's'.....
