I have heard that you can ballance the drive shaft and get rid of the drive shaft vibration using a U bolt.

Has anyone in here tried?

If so How did you and do you have pics of where you placed your U bolt.

I need something, I figure that mine is vibrating too, because there is something bumping.

I have'nt ever heard of a u-bolt, but Ford specifies a procedure using stainless hose clamps placed on the DS to balance it. I would Scan the book for you, but its over at the garage with my dissasembled 95.


They go so far as to tell the tech to spray bomb the clamps black "for that professional look."


IMHO, save for a while and get the MMX driveshaft. The money is worth the headaches you'll save yourself from.
