Tranny problems

I have a 93 Mark....The 1-2 spring is done flushed the fluild and replaced the MLPS
If I leave the tranny in Drive and drive normal the car shifts fine
If I stomp on the gas pedal will go to the red line and have trouble getting into 2nd
So I tryed to shift it myself....so I take off in 1st and shift to 2nd at 3500rpm the car shifts and about 3-4 seconds later the car shifts into 1st by itself
I still have it in 2nd gear
Do you think the tranny is shot?
