Anyone know how to fix broken Window ?

Hello,

I have a 91 Lincoln Mark VII and the driver side window just stopped working. Someone tried to take it apart and figure out the problem, but no luck. Could not get close enough to the window, itself to actually see. Does anyone know and/or have any tips or advice on what to do? I sure would appreciate any and all help.
Also, I do have this car listed for sale on here.
I am trying to upload pictures but am unable to do so, can someone guide me on that as well ?
Thank you in advance,
LSC

LSC,
Most likely problem is the window motor. If you can hear it running then the gearbox on the motor(with plastic gears) is the likely culprit. Another possibility (less likely) is the regulator, a spring loaded arm that the motor gears run move to raise and lower the window. There is a thread on tech tips -- I think its on Lincolnsonline.com that shows you how to replace the motor. Not really too difficult. Good luck. Lincolnlov
