This seems to be the easiest way to delete the factory air box and add more HP.

I have them available on my website. However, before you purchase I only ship to US cities.

I have the KKM Cone (the engine sounds good), but how does the steel tube help with power? It looks nice, but does it enhance the sound or acceleration?
How is the air box coming along?

Thanks.

Search for this, there is some massive thread about the advantages of it. I think there were around 100 replies.

You get most of your HP increase from the KKM kit. However, I'd say conservatively the tube probably helps around 5 HP but again that's conservative numbers without having any real dyno numbers. I'd say combined with the KKM and tube you should see about 10-15 HP increase.

As for the boxes, the person that makes the tubes for me made a prototype last summer. Then that's about as far as it went. He is currently working on three street rods and hasn't had much time to work with the box. He made the first one for his wife's LSE and it has had it's fair share off issues. The box is static against the car and the intake tube and filter are dynamic with the engine. So, this causes problems with rattles. He was working the rattles out when he got pulled to work on the street rods. I haven't pushed much since he makes the tubes when I get the orders. I just need to go over there one day and work it out with him.

On my list of priorities it's probably one of the lowest. I'd love to have one for my car but for now it'll have to wait. I know you don't want to make one yourself but it's fairly easy. Maybe a dedicated LvC member will step up and make one!

How about it Lou?

From the message above:

The snorkel alone will not produce that much. However, put the KKM True Rev Sport Induction Kit on and you'll get anywhere between 10-15 HP.

why do you call it Steeda? I helped Steeda out when they were first trying to use the SCT XCalibrator and they had a customer's LS dead after trying to flash the PCM - they didn't know about having to pull the fuses to get a clean upload.

Was that yours?

steeda I love that blue. very nice choice. I was in Bahrain back in 90'. I was treated very well by the local folks.

Quick, is the calibrator worth it? Would you use it?

the issue I talk about having to pull the fuses during upload has been fixed.

I am running around with an extra 19rwhp because of it.
